EMDR Institute 2025 Facilitator Availability Survey

Hi EMDR Institute Facilitators! 

Our 2025 Training Schedule is on the website, registrations are flowing in, and we are very enthusiastic about hosting another year of trainings!  Are you ready?

Thank you for being accommodating (between time zones and W1 or W2), flexible (when I need to shift you from one training or zone to another), understanding (when you're on the "available and on hold" list for a long time and then are not confirmed until the last minute or not at all), and for making my job such a joy. I truly appreciate each of you more than you can imagine!  We want to step up our lines of communication with each of you and are working on just the right secret sauce to make that most useful, so stay tuned!

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below. But first, keep this in mind:

Rhyme and reason for the 2025 season: We have 57 basic trainings scheduled for 2025. 19 (out of 52) not-viable weekends. We’re shifting our scheduling strategy: Rather than 2 W1, for instance, we’ve tried to pair a W1 in one time zone and a W2 two time zones apart.

Virtual or in-person:  At this time, we are considering which, if any, of the scheduled trainings could realistically convert from virtual to in-person.  Lots of factors play into the viability of in-person. Lots.

Available and on hold: As you know from previous years, lining up facilitators can be tricky since the trend seems to be that participants tend to register (or transfer to a later training) very close to the event date. To ensure we have sufficient staffing and are doing so fairly, and can accommodate the flow of registrations, we'll maintain a list of available facilitators for each event. I aim to confirm 3 facilitators per event through June, then add facilitators as registrations increase. Same as previous years.

Jenga: In an effort to streamline the process of identifying your availability throughout 2025, please select the weekend dates when you anticipate being available to facilitate (listed below). This info will flow into a nifty spreadsheet that I then refer to about 100 times a day. I may need to shift you one time zone over from your home, flip you from a W1 into a W2, ask you to take a FIT, and so on.

In case of emergency contact info:  Please provide info for one reliable person we can contact in the event of an urgent situation.

You might be wondering: 

How many gigs can I expect in 2025?  My magic 8-ball indicates “as many as registrations warrant.”  Please understand I need to be as equitable as possible (# confirmed, # W1 vs W2, time zones, etc).  Thus, the Jenga of it all.

Availability changes: If something comes up on your end and you need to be removed from the available list, send me an email.  Subject lines like “Need to change availability” are perfect!  I'll send out another availability survey for the 2nd half of the year.
